The trail, starting conveniently behind the Eldheimar museum, is a moderate climb of about 45-60 minutes over volcanic gravel to the summit. As you ascend, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the town, the surrounding islands, and the vast Atlantic. We didn’t have time to do the hike but we just drove around the volcanic area!
