Skógafoss is probably the most famous waterfall in the country and it is just off of Iceland's south coast Ring Road. A short 1 minute walk leads to its base. There is also a staircase of over 500 steps provides a view from the top. At the top there is a kilometers of trails to other waterfalls. There is only one path, so you can walk as long as you like. There is a campsite at the parking lot as well as food stands and a little shop.
