Prepare for a breathtaking sight at Háifoss, the 'High Waterfall,' one of Iceland's tallest and most powerful cascades. This waterfall recently went viral as it is the waterfall Eleven goes to in Stranger Things.

After a drive down a rugged gravel road, a short walk from the car park takes you to a stunning viewpoint over the dramatic canyon. You'll see not just one, but two waterfalls, as the neighboring Granni ('Neighbour') plunges alongside Háifoss. You can also go down below to the base. This hike is a bit steep and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours round trip, I highly recommend it!

You do need a 4x4 to get here.
