Seljalandsfoss is the waterfall you can walk behind, so expect to get wet and bring a waterproof jacket, a cover for your camera or phone, and sturdy, grippy shoes because the path is muddy and slippery. It is a very short walk though!

There is a managed parking area by the road that charges a small fee and has basic toilets. This one is crowded so visit at sunrise, late evening, or off season for better light and fewer people. There is a short nearby walk to the hidden Gljúfrabúi waterfall if you want an extra, less crowded stop.
