Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary is located in Kananaskis, Alberta. Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary offers a variety of tours to the public. The purpose of our tours is to educate the public on wolfdogs and raise awareness regarding wolf conservation. Wolfdogs are a breed of wolf and dog, not pure wolves.

What to Expect

Visit one of the largest sanctuaries in Canada and hear about the mission of this wolfdog rescue organization. Learn about wolfdogs during a 30-minute presentation and go inside one of the wolfdog enclosures behind a short barrier. An experienced staff member will safely lead you through the enclosure during the tour. Enjoy a self-guided sanctuary walk either before or after your tour.  Take photographs of one of the packs of wolfdogs from inside their enclosure and ask the wolfdog experts any questions you may have. The cost starts at $25 and for an interactive tour it goes up to $56. These dogs are half bred with wolves and look more like really cute big husky's. Definitely more photogenic but they feel less wild than the Northern Lights Wolf center.
