Magdalena Island, located in the south of Chile, is a bird watchers' paradise and home to over 120,000 Magellanic Penguins. A two-hour boat ride from Punta Arenas offers stunning views of the surrounding area before reaching the island. Visitors can walk among the penguins, cormorants, and sea lions, with an hour-long trek to the lighthouse that houses an Environmental Interpretation Center.
