Vestrahorn is best treated as a photography-first spot, so time your visit for sunrise or sunset and for low tide if you want the dramatic reflections on the black sand and tidal pools. Access is via the Stokksnes parking area, which is privately managed with a small entrance fee of $10 and a seasonal cafe; the gravel road is normally fine for standard cars. Respect signs and fragile dune vegetation, arrive early to avoid tour buses, and be prepared for rapidly changing weather.

You can also camp in the parking lot here for about $25. It is very beautiful and a great location but very windy!
