Spirit Island is a tiny, picturesque island located on Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, Canada. Surrounded by towering mountains and crystal-clear waters, this iconic spot is super famous. Accessible only by boat, the journey to Spirit Island is long way but the views are incredible. You can do a canoe trip out here and stay the night, but backcountry permits sell out quickly. If you can't get a camping permit you can do a day trip but it is a 14km paddle each way so you need to prepare. There are also daily boat excursions from Maligne Lake.
