Licancabur is a stunning volcano located in the Andes, straddling the border between Chile and Argentina. With its impressive height of about 5,920 meters (19,400 feet), it’s one of the most recognizable peaks in the region. The mountain has a perfectly symmetrical cone shape that makes it a favorite among photographers and adventurers alike.

Its summit features a crater lake, which adds to its allure and mystique. The area around Licancabur is rich in cultural history, with ties to indigenous communities who have revered the mountain for centuries. The landscape surrounding the volcano is breathtaking, characterized by high-altitude deserts, salt flats, and unique rock formations.

This photo spot give you great views of the surrounding valley and the steps of the volcano. The spot in the photo is just a random spot on the road adjacent to the volcano, so just find a safe pull out and you will be good!
