The Perito Moreno Glacier, located in Argentina's Los Glaciares National Park, is a massive ice formation that's 30 kilometers long and covers an area of 250 square kilometers. Named after explorer Francisco Moreno, this glacier is a popular tourist spot in Patagonia due to its stunning beauty and unique features. It's known for its occasional ruptures, where huge chunks of ice break off and crash into the water below, creating a spectacular natural show. There is a 4km boardwalk you can walk for free, lots of viewpoints and a boat trip that leaves right from the parking lot. We didn’t book the boat trip in advance, but just got on and it was a scenic 30 minute boat trip for about $50usd
