Santiago, the vibrant capital of Chile, is nestled in a valley surrounded by the stunning Andes mountains. Use this as your international hub to fly to Patagonia. You can also travel to Buenos Aires first, but flights were cheaper to Santiago for us.

We stayed in Santiago for two nights on the way home and did day tours on our full days. Santiago is a bit sketchy so we opted to do a wine tour with Get Your Guide and a Hot Spring Tour. I am going to put all the information on these in this itinerary section.
