A short, moderately easy walk of about 5 to 10 minutes from the roadside parking area will take you right to the rim of Stútur crater. From the top, you're rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the otherworldly, moss-covered lava fields and the dramatic landscapes of the Fjallabak region.
