Charming coastal town in Alaska

I was worried driving into Homer, a town I've heard so much about for so long. The road after Coopers Landing becomes this kind of weird flat land. The scenery isn't great for Alaska standards. Soldotna kinda sucks. Then after driving for a few hours you make a turn and can finally see the ocean. Shortly after, you can see Homer approaching and the beautiful mountains in Kachemak Bay State Park. I spent 4 days here checking it out, halibut fishing, hiking, and eating amazing food. I could've spend longer and I could see myself spending a whole summer here.

Homer is one of my top three places in AK to visit. Home to the best Halibut fishing in the world, great food, great art, strong community, and a boat ride away from an amazing and underrated state park.
