This route is known informally as the Little Odessey Trail. In the summer, it is an off-trail route, and in the winter, it is a ski tour. The hike's objective is to climb steeply to gain gorgeous views of the Valdez Mountains. This route stops at a high point before heading back slightly north of the trail you took up. This trail is recommended to experienced hikers and skiers.
