I go here multiple times a month. The easiest salmon fishing in the world just off shore and almost guaranteed to see 2000 pound sea lions if the salmon are in. The best time to go is after the salmon get there which is usually starts in early July. There is a quick and fun self guided tour that is open all hours of the day. Go at high tide to see the sea lions. You might see bears at low tide but you'll also get one the worst fishy smells from all the spawning salmon.

The Solomon Gulch Hatchery is a notable fish hatchery located in Alaska, specifically at latitude 61.0834163 and longitude -146.307056. It plays a crucial role in the local ecosystem by producing salmon, which are vital for both the environment and the fishing industry. The hatchery focuses on raising various species of salmon, including pink and coho, helping to support sustainable fishing practices in the region. Visitors often find it interesting to learn about the hatchery's operations and its impact on local wildlife and communities. With its scenic surroundings, it's not just a place for fish production but also a spot where people can appreciate the beauty of Alaska's natural landscape.
