I know it's tempting to book a hotel inside Lecce's beautiful historic center, a maze of pedestrianized streets and alleys, but I have to recommend this property instead.

The location is absolutely perfect, sitting on a lovely piazza right in front of Porta San Biagio, one of the three historic city gates that lead to the historic center; the rooms are modern, cozy, clean, and comfy (book the "suite with terrace" overlooking Porta San Biagio); the hosts are beyond friendly and helpful.

Not only you'll feel at home, but you'll also see that this location is ideal - it's much more convenient to walk to the train station from here, there's a cafe and a gelateria right in front of the building next to the Porta, and it's a pleasant area and a great base for exploring the historic center.
