This is one of my all time favourite “pub walks” in North Wales, this one is in Central Eryri (Snowdonia) so the views are incredible and there is loads to keep the kids busy in this one.
Here’s what we love about it;
- Fun, manageable trails (with the option to extend to include some scrambley bits)
- Places to stop for a swim or a paddle, this one has a beautiful clear blue lake and lots of paddle spots along the river section
- Big views! This part of the national park is bit quieter and gives you incredible views over Eryri.
- Not one but 2 great pubs! You can stop off at Plas y brenin with stunning views over the lake or end your walk at Tyn y coed hotel with a great little beer garden, a lovely kids menu (including shepherds pie and lamb stew) and the best Lamb roast I’ve had for a while.
