Porth Swtan also known as chruch Bay is one of our favourite beaches on Anglesey becuase it has a bit of everything - its a huge snady cove perfect for sandcastles and playing on the beach, the water here is crystal clear with shallow access and wefound the most amount of crabs we have ever found in the rock pools here.
It also has toilets, a lovely cafe and is right next to the incredible `Lobster pot restaraunt (a must visit for seafood lovers - booking is essential).
There is a walk down a ramp to the beach, and the car park is small so I suggest coming early in the day.
Also worth visiting the Church Bay Inn which has great food and a lovely beer garden with a little hobbit house that our kids love to play in.
From the beginning of May to the end of September dogs are not allowed on the near part of the beach while dogs on leads are allowed on the other part.
