The dam Trail at Lake Vyrnwy is a little hidden gem that I have missed so many times - Although with so much to do at Lake Vyrnwy it's easy to miss bits. This short but sweet walk around the bottom of the dam has a nature trail (with fun questions and challenges) and a sculpture trail to keep the kids entertained. It's pram and toddler friendly with loads of bridges to cross, paddle spots to play in and trees to climb.

The trail starts at the main car park at Lake Vyrnwy meaning you also have easy access to the fantastic play area, toilets, cafe, bird watching hut and not forgetting the @the.chocolatecabin

You could easily spend the whole day down here, or if you fancy adding a longer walk head over to the other side of the lake and visit the Rhiwargor waterfall.
