Crater Lake National Park
For one of the best views of the Phantom Ship, take a short walk up the Sun Notch Trail. This easy, half-mile loop climbs gently through a forest and a wildflower-filled meadow to the rim of the caldera. From several viewpoints, you'll get a fantastic perspective of the dramatic island that resembles a ghostly ship, making it a quick and highly rewarding stop on your drive around the lake.
