Step into a world of serene contemplation at the Hiroshi Sugimoto Gallery. Tucked away on the art island of Naoshima, this minimalist space, masterfully designed by Tadao Ando, invites you to explore profound photography and sculpture that play with the concept of time. The experience is beautifully capped off with a visit to the lounge, where your ticket includes a traditional tea and sweet, allowing for a moment of quiet reflection. Be sure to book your timed-entry ticket in advance, as access is limited to ensure a peaceful and intimate viewing for everyone. If you don't get a ticket for the gallery itself, make sure you stop to admire the modern tea house that's been built into the small lake in front of the cafe. It's a stunning, modern take on one of Japan's most traditional practices.
