Escape into a real-life fairy tale at the Oku-Iya "Double Vine Bridges," a pair of charming, hand-woven bridges tucked away deep in the forest. Known locally as the "husband and wife" bridges, they offer a thrilling walk across the rocky stream below. They're a much less touristy alternative to the main Vine Bridge further up the valley, and an easy addition if you're heading to Nagoro Scarecrow Village. For an extra bit of fun, you can pull yourself across the river on the "Yaen" wild monkey cart, a rustic wooden cable car, if it's open. The entrance is a short walk down a paved path with some steps from the parking area, and a small admission fee of ¥550 is required to experience this magical spot.
