Step into the world of "Japan Blue" at this beautifully preserved indigo merchant's residence. You can wander through the historic buildings and learn all about the traditional craft of Awa indigo dyeing in one of the most famous places in Japan for this coveted craft. The real highlight is getting to create your own souvenir; you can try your hand at dyeing a handkerchief or towel with the iconic deep blue dye, a hands-on experience that takes about 40 minutes to complete.
