Los Quetzales National Park is one of the least visited parks in the country, yet it offers a unique experience, especially for bird lovers. It’s one of the best places to spot quetzals, along with many other bird species.

The park has short trails of around 2 km and 4 km, and while they don’t lead to a specific destination, the walk itself is beautiful, surrounded by forest and mountain scenery.

It’s also the starting point of the scenic Los Quetzales route that connects to Santa María de Dota, one of my favorite routes in the region.
