Avoid the Tuk-Tuk Scam in Thailand
A common tourist trap that’s easy to dodge.

Some tuk-tuk drivers offer extremely cheap rides but then divert you to shops, gem stores, or “tourist stops” where they earn commission.
Always agree on the fare before starting the ride and avoid deals that sound too good to be true.
Stick to metered taxis or Grab/Bolt whenever possible for transparent pricing.
