Leh Ladakh, India

The high altitude in Ladakh can cause headaches, breathlessness, or mild AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). Always carry a personal medical kit with:

  • Tablet Diamox 250mg (Acetazolamide): Take twice a day (after breakfast & dinner) at least 2 days before your Leh trip and continue for 2 more days after arriving in Leh. It helps your body adapt to low oxygen levels.

  • Basic meds: Paracetamol, cough & cold tablets, ORS, pain relief spray, and band-aids.

⚠️ Pro Tip: Consult your doctor before starting Diamox. And remember – medicines are a backup, but hydration and rest are your best friends in Ladakh.
