Notleys Landing Vistapoint, located in the Big Sur region of Monterey County, California, is an uninhabited former hamlet near the mouth of Palo Colorado Canyon. It was once a bustling spot for timber trade and shipping, but now stands abandoned with only remnants of its past glory. The site was purchased by the Big Sur Land Trust in 2001 with plans to open it to the public, but as of 2022, it remains closed off to visitors. Despite its quiet present, Notleys Landing Vistapoint holds a rich history of Prohibition-era dance halls and wild tales from its heyday.
