Garrapata Beach at Garrapata State Park in Carmel, CA is a stunning spot along the Big Sur coastline, about ten miles south of Carmel-by-the-Sea. With its rugged mountains meeting the sandy shore, this half-mile beach offers a picturesque setting for beach walks and sunbathing. While some areas have been clothing-optional in the past, nudity is now prohibited. Accessible via steep dirt trails from two parking areas along Highway 1, this beach is a hidden gem for those looking to explore a less crowded stretch of California coastline.
