McWay Falls is an 80-foot-tall waterfall located in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park in Big Sur, California. This stunning tidefall flows year-round from McWay Creek directly into the Pacific Ocean. The only other tidefall in California is Alamere Falls. Visitors can access the top of McWay Falls via a short trail starting at a nearby parking area. The beach below the falls is inaccessible except by boat and may be covered by surf at high tide. The site also features remnants of the Waterfall House and a funicular railway from the property's former owners, Lathrop and Hélène Brown.
