Kambly is Switzerland’s most beloved biscuit factory, founded in 1910 by Oscar Kambly in the charming village of Trubschachen, located in the Emmental region. What started as a love story has become a national treasure, with Kambly now producing over 100 different types of biscuits and exporting to more than 30 countries.

The factory's journey began when young Oscar fell in love with a girl from Trubschachen and learned baking at the local village bakery. His first creation, the Bretzeli, a thin crêpe-type biscuit, remains their market leader to this day. The company has stayed true to its roots, with family members continuing to lead the business through generations.

Inside the factory store in Trubschachen you can try lots of delicious biscuits for free. Unfortunately, you can't visit the factory itself, but you'll still get plenty of information inside the store. Make sure you get there with an empty stomach so you can try all the biscuits you want.

Seraina's Tip: It's so tempting to enter the shop and just start munching away on whatever crosses your path. However, there are way more cookies displayed than you can eat so I recommend getting a good overview of what's there and what you'd like to try. This way, you can make the most of your visit.
