Jungfraujoch, also known as the Top of Europe, is Europe’s highest-altitude railway station, sitting at an impressive 3,454 meters (11,332 feet) above sea level. Located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site “Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch”, this mountain saddle offers an extraordinary alpine experience that you won’t want to miss.

Getting to Jungfraujoch is an adventure in itself. You can start in Interlaken, Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. From Eiger Glacier or Kleine Scheidegg, you'll travel on a cogwheel train through the mountain. Before arriving at the top, you'll stop over at the station "Eismeer", where you'll enjoy a fantastic view of the glacier. This is always one of my favourite parts when going up there.

Once you reach the top, you’ll discover a world of incredible attractions. Visit the Sphinx Observatory for panoramic views, explore the Ice Palace with its intricate ice sculptures, or walk on the Glacier Plateau where you can marvel at the Aletsch Glacier and surrounding peaks. In summer, you can enjoy activities like the Snow Fun Park, where you can ski, sled, and even try ziplining.

Seraina's Tip: Between end of March until mid October, you can hike from Jungfraujoch to Mönchsjochhütte. It takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours return and is an easy hike if you wish to see some more awesome views. I personally love that walk as it takes you away from the crowds at Jungfraujoch.
