The Dambulla Royal Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, is a stunning complex nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka. This UNESCO World Heritage site features a series of caves adorned with impressive Buddhist murals and statues that date back to the first century BC. Visitors are often captivated by the sheer scale of the place, with over 150 statues of Buddha and various deities spread across five main caves.

You need to be covered to enter the cave area, something they often won't tell you until you're at the top of the stairs. Make sure shoulders, chest, knees, and back of men and women are covered. There are also tour guides who will explain everything to you available at the entrance
