Essential Apps and Websites for Bangkok
Taxis, Food Deliveries and More

Having the right apps makes everything easier in Bangkok, and these are the most important ones to have before you visit:
Grab: Grab is a hugely popular app for booking taxis and getting food deliveries. We use this all the time, as do most locals, and if you only download one app, it should be this.
Muvmi: Muvmi run electric tuk-tuks that are best suited to shorter rides. You have the option of ride-sharing or paying for your own private tuk-tuk if you prefer.
Eatigo: You might need to access the Thai app store to get the Eatigo app, but it's worth it if, like us, you can't resist a bargain. The app lets you book time slots at restaurants during quieter periods, and in exchange you'll be given a discount on your food bill. Some places even offer savings as high as 50% at 6:00 PM (which being from the UK, is prime dinner time for us).
LINE: LINE is the primary messaging app in Thailand, so if you make new Thai friends or want to contact local businesses, this is the app you'll need. They also have a taxi and delivery app called LINE Man, but it's another one that only seems to be on the Thai app store.
Airalo: Having mobile data is important, and if you're only visiting for a few weeks, it's best to get an eSIM instead of buying an overpriced tourist SIM card. We recommend Airalo's Thailand eSIMs, which are affordable and easy to set up before you arrive, so you have data the moment you land!
12Go: 12Go is great for booking transport around Thailand, whether you're booking flights, trains, buses, or taxis. We've been using it for years, and by booking online, you can pay by card instead of having to pay cash. We normally book via the website, but there's an app.
