Wat Sam Phran

Directions

Wat Sam Phran is an 80-metre-tall Buddhist temple that's famous for the giant dragon sculpture wrapped around its exterior. You can actually climb through the dragon itself to reach the rooftop, where you get some lovely panoramic views.

Despite its remarkable exterior, Wat Sam Phran is quieter than major temples like Wat Arun, largely because it’s about a 45–60 minute drive from central Bangkok. If you have the time, though, it’s well worth a visit.
