When you visit Sala Silvergruva you’ll join guided underground tours into centuries-old tunnels, so plan to walk on uneven, sometimes slippery steps and expect cool, damp conditions below ground; wear sturdy shoes and a warm layers. Tours are scheduled seasonally and can fill up, so book ahead online or check opening times at the visitor center; helmets and basic protective gear are normally provided and English-language tours are often available. If you prefer to stay above ground, there is a museum and shop with mining exhibits, but note that the underground experience has limited accessibility for people with mobility issues. Follow staff instructions for safety and photography. Here you can also spend the night close to history.
