Malmesbury is a beautiful town in the Cotswolds with plenty to explore! There are many independent shops and restaurants throughout the high-street, all of which embrace the truly historic atmosphere. Visitors can explore the 12th century Abbey, experience the first King of England at the Athelstan Museum, admire the 15th century market cross, or find accommodation in the oldest hotel in England – The Old Bell. For an active adventure, there are plenty of activities available, such as walking and cycling pathways along the River Avon and Conygre Mead Nature Reserve, as well as numerous gardens and arboreta to explore. With its historic atmosphere, beautiful natural views and interesting sights, Malmesbury is a great destination for a visit.
