The National Art Center, Tokyo (国立新美術館) is a distinctive museum in Roppongi, Tokyo, renowned for its undulating glass façade designed by architect Kisho Kurokawa. Unlike traditional museums, it doesn't house a permanent collection but offers rotating exhibitions across its expansive 14,000 square meters of gallery space .

Anime enthusiasts recognize the center from Makoto Shinkai's film Your Name (君の名は), where it's featured during a date scene between characters Taki and Okudera. The film captures the center's unique architecture, including its glass walls and interior details .

Visitors can enjoy the museum without purchasing exhibition tickets, as access to the building and its facilities, including the café, is free. The center is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Tuesdays .
