We took the city bus to Yufuin no Mori and the main shopping street. You can actually walk there in about 20 minutes, but we preferred to take the bus so we could explore from that side and walk back later toward the station We started with Yufuin no Mori, the Ghibli-like villag, also known as Heidi Village. I didn’t expect it to be this crowded! That said, it wasn’t suffocating at all. It actually felt really lively, and I think it’s good for the local economy to have that many visitors. The village itself is small but adorable, filled with tiny shops and fairy-tale corners.
