A historic hot spring village near Yudanaka, known for its stone-paved alleys, traditional ryokan inns, and nine public baths. With a charming Taishō-era retro vibe, Shibu Onsen is especially magical in the evening, as visitors stroll through the streets in yukata and geta. It's also the perfect gateway to the nearby Jigokudani Monkey Park.
Price: Free to enter the village. Most public baths are reserved for ryokan guests, but one or two are open to outside visitors (around ¥500).
