A small sushi restaurant founded in 1953, located in Osaka’s Tenjinbashisuji district. It’s well-loved for its relaxed atmosphere and excellent value. The nigiri are made with intentionally small portions of rice (shari) and topped with generous cuts of ultra-fresh fish. The space is compact—about 15 counter seats and a few tables—with an authentic Showa-era ambiance.

Price :
– Nigiri (per piece): ¥100 (e.g. gesō) to ¥400 (e.g. uni, sake toro)
– “Maze” set or assorted plates: ~¥1,000–¥2,000
– Akadashi (red miso soup): ¥300–¥550

Touristy? Moderately touristy. Very popular with locals and has a loyal customer base. Expect lines, especially on weekends and evenings. Weekday afternoons tend to be quieter and may offer walk-in service without waiting.
