Yanagi-yu is the smallest and one of the most intimate of the seven public baths in Kinosaki Onsen. It’s known for its soft, gentle water, said to promote fertility and couples’ health, and for its very simple, retro atmosphere. The name means “Willow Bath,” referring to the willow trees in front of the entrance.

Inside, it’s minimalist, with one large bath per gender. It’s popular among locals for its peaceful setting.

💴 Admission: ¥700 (adult)
🕒 Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (closed Thursdays)
👥 Touristy? Very quiet — often the least crowded of the baths
📍 Access: About 10 minutes on foot from Kinosaki Onsen Station, on a small side street

💡 Tip: If you’re looking for a bath that feels more private and calm, this is a great choice. It’s especially nice in the evening, when the lantern light reflects on the wooden facades.
