This rooftop shrine in Ginza, Tokyo, inspired the rooftop shrine scenes in Makoto Shinkai’s Weathering With You (天気の子). In the film, the protagonist Hina ascends to a rooftop shrine to gain her weather-controlling powers. While the movie's shrine is depicted atop a derelict building, it is based on the real-life Asahi Inari Shrine, which is situated on the rooftop of a modern office building in Ginza.
