A maze of narrow alleyways tucked behind Shinjuku, home to over 200 tiny bars packed into a few blocks. Each bar has its own quirky theme—jazz, punk, movies, poetry, gothic... The vibe is raw, intimate, and nostalgic, echoing Tokyo’s postwar underground scene. Some spots are locals-only, but many warmly welcome visitors. The area comes alive after 8 PM, with glowing lanterns and tightly packed nightlife.

💴 Price: Around 2,000–5,000 ¥ per person, depending on drinks and possible cover charges
📸 Touristy?: Very touristy, yet still authentic in my opinion. A must-do for anyone wanting to dive into Tokyo’s retro, edgy nightlife.
