This section of the old Tōkaidō highway (between Motohakone and Onshi-Hakone Park) features around 400 large cedar trees, planted in 1618, that line a roughly 500-metre stretch. It provides a quiet forest walk, offering a glimpse of travel in the Edo period and the natural beauty of the Hakone area. Walking time along the main avenue is about 15-30 minutes for the short stretch; if you explore more of the old route it may take up to 1-2 hours.
