A historic stone-paved slope leading up to Kiyomizu-dera, lined with traditional shops, tea houses, snacks, and local crafts. The area preserves an old-time charm with wooden buildings and scenic views of Kyoto’s eastern hills. It’s especially photogenic in the early morning or at sunset.
