A small Sōtō Zen temple originally built in 1612 and later rebuilt after a fire. It is famous for housing the graves of the 47 rōnin, the masterless samurai who avenged their lord in 1702. Visitors can also see the purification well they used and a small memorial museum.

Price: Free admission (museum: suggested donation ~¥300)
Touristy?: Moderately touristy. Visited by locals, history enthusiasts, and pilgrims, especially on December 14th for the annual commemoration.
