The Kamikōchi Visitor Center is located near Kappa Bridge in the middle of the Kamikōchi valley. It’s the main place to learn about the area before starting a walk or hike. Inside, there are exhibits about the local ecosystem, wildlife, geology, and the history of mountaineering in the Northern Japanese Alps. You’ll also find maps, seasonal information, and tips about the trails.
