Tucked away in the lively Ōsu district, just a short walk from Ōsu Kannon and the shopping arcades, Miwa Shrine is a small and often-overlooked Shinto shrine offering a moment of calm amidst the buzz of the city.

Dedicated to Ōmononushi, an ancient kami associated with protection and fertility, this shrine may be modest in size, but it’s rich in atmosphere, with red torii gates, stone lanterns, and occasional local events.
