Hijiribashi Bridge is one of the most iconic locations featured in Makoto Shinkai’s film Suzume no Tojimari. It’s the setting for a memorable scene where Suzume chases after Sōta and jumps off the bridge — a dramatic and visually striking moment in the movie.
The bridge overlooks the JR Chūō Line tracks, with Ochanomizu’s buildings and Tokyo’s metal structures in the background — a setting that perfectly captures Shinkai’s signature urban aesthetic.
