Located in Nagoya’s Nishi-ku district, Inu Shrine (literally “Dog Shrine”) is a small Shinto shrine known for its blessings related to childbirth, family protection, and pets — especially dogs.

According to legend, the shrine got its name when a feudal lord’s son was safely born during a journey, protected by a loyal dog at this very spot.
